I heard newegg.com is great but im really on a tight budget (about 800 bucks) and I want to be able to get everything as cheap as I possible can, but I dont want to sacrifice reliablity or quality of the product im buying.

I will be buying everything from 1 site, so I was curious as to what is the best site.

Use Zipzooomfly.com also..

I shop those two places and buy my component where it is cheapest.

There are somethings you just should not scrimp on and if you do scrimp you should stay away from certain brands that are considered good if you are buying there high end stuff but are considered of lousy quality if you buy there cheap stuff!!

9 times out of 10 you get what you pay for....
You buy a cheap PSU it almost always will crap out on you maybe ebem almost right away..

Also warrantie is very important....
I never buy anything OEM.....
Becuase 9 times out of 10 something thats OEM hasd little or no warranty to speak of and most places that sell you something OEM will not deal with you if your stuff goes bad.

All good sites. Why are you wanting to buy from one site? It's rare to find all the parts you need at one place AND that supplier having the lowest prices for each component.

It is simply unrealistic for anyone to suggest parts when you have not stated the intended use of the computer. Do you have an OS, keyboard, etc? More information please.

I thought newegg.com was pretty good about taking things back?

I mean, all there parts have a 30 day warrenty so if something doesn't work or is defected you can return it right?

As far as I remember, newegg (for that matter all reputable sites) has their return/RMA policy listed on the site. Maybe try there for more details??????

These are almost the holy trinity. chiefvalue is newegg's sister site, but occasionally have better pricing.

www.froogle.com is a good place to compare prices, then resellerratings.com to see how good the store is.

I also like PCClub as a local B&M store - tell them you're a reseller and they normally give you a discount. The guys who work there usually know their stuff, much better than compusa/bestbuy etc.

Don't limit yourself to just one site. At least check a 2nd site before you purchase.

Newegg usually has good prices, but if something is new and popular you might find it cheaper elsewhere.

Well what is the best site with reliability.

I really dont want to have to take something back....

I dont mind paying the extra dime to assure a good product.

I was thinking of getting a 300 gig hd, then another smaller hd which will only be fore Windows XP.

Is this a good idea? Would a 6 gig hd be sufficient?

you need more than 6 gig HD...depending on what you do, get at least an 80 gig. If you save lots of pictures, music or pr0n, get 160 gig. Can find good prices at a local B&M if you don't mind rebates. And look around at someplace besides newegg. zipzoom has lower prices on some stuff, and still free shipping on most stuff. GL.
