Most reliable dvd-r media?

I could have sworn there used to be a media board but maybe I'm losing my mind. If this thread belongs somewhere else, feel free to move it or delete it. I usually buy my dvd-r media whenever I see a sale price at a brick & mortar store like best buy or office max but I really need a more steady stock. I rarely if ever see media advertised on the hot deals forum-- so what do you consider the most reliable bang for your buck dvd-r media and what do you use on a regular basis? Do you buy online?

I have had good luck with kodak gold in the past with great success, they are expensive for everyday stuff though but worth it for long term backups. for everday stuff i buy the cheapest stuff i can find.

Been burned by discount media in the past; never again.

What do you primarily burn to DVD? If you are archiving data, DVD+R would better serve you.
