I usually buy MSI or Sapphire for ATI. MSI or XFX for Nvidia. 🙂 I've always found MSI to be very reliable for ATI or Nvidia.

After the XFX 4890 fiasco (they had poor performing 4890 cards that missed quality control), I'm probably not buying XFX again.

I actually think visiontek is the best in terms of warranty. I'm lazy so I don't like registering stuff if I don't have to, and visiontek doesn't require you to register in order to get lifetime warranty. You just have to keep the receipt with the box and you're done.
Easy to sell too as long as your credit card number or something personal isn't on the receipt. I could care less about double lifetime warranty.

Yeah, thats nice to know about visiontek. I did some research and Asus is in the same boat too, and doesn't require registration.

"Asus provides a comprehensive three year warranty, that doesn’t require any form of registration or activation for you to take advantage of. While admittedly not as long a warranty as you’ll get from board partners such as BFG or EVGA, the advantage of not having to register your purchase is a big plus, and means that as long as you have proof of purchase, your warranty is safe." -- Bit-Tech's Asus 5870 Review

Sapphire or MSI.

I do sometimes go on personal experience if nothing else, and both those brands for me have been great (for GPUs)
