Any of the Gran Turismo's for playstation....they are as acurate as you can get all the way down to customized the settings on your vehicles, and the changes actually do make a significant difference in the car. Best game ever!!!!

I did like gran tourismo for it's representation of the cars (talk about customization), but I have to agree that the damage models were really lacking. I haven't played GT2 or GT3 though, so that may have changed since then. Also it's only for the PS, not the PC :(

grand prix legends is unbelievably real. It also has an extremely steep learning curve.

I have yet to play ONE single racing game that was worth a crap IMO, My problem is they don't seem to get the speed to match the environment,

The Speedo will say your going 140MPH but you go by tree's and whatever is in the setting as if you were going like 80 or 90 :/

Pole Position or Pole Position 2...personally, I like 2 better. If only it had force feedback steering.

The physics in Grand Turismo isn't realistic. You can't even do a 180 when you pull the hand brakes. I like NFS5 the most.

anyone who says gran turismo 3 isn't realistic is a jackass!!! NO other racing game can you make slight modifications that completely alter the way in which the car drives. Then you add the graphics, gameplay, concept, and all the different manufacturers and you have the ultimate racing game....all the rest are for sissy girls!

umm... just about every PC racing game allows for suspension, transmission and engine adjustments/modifications.

My vote goes out to Grand Prix Legends also. The new F1 2001 Championship by EA is actually very good also.

World Sports Cars is the next big SIM to come out. Can't wait!!!!

GT3 rocks. Graphics kick arse, most realistic game I've ever played. However the lack of black marks in burnouts and spins takes away from the game some. But we can't get too picky

nobody going for Grand Theft Auto 3 on the PS2? If you wanna talk about damage, I think it's pretty realistic, your car can actually break down or explode if you sustain too much damage. You can run over people too and cops will be on your tail if you do that. Also, the tougher the car (like a big rig or hummer), the tougher for it to break. You can go thru a bunch of police cars with those. oh yea, and when you car can't run anymore and there are cops on your tail, you can always hijack another car or you can have a shootout with the police. And when you overturn your car, it does not get reset automatically, it actually explodes.

speaking of GT3, anyone got the Suzuki Escudo Pikes Peak version? That's a freaking crotch rocket! It's ugly but you can win most races by riding the side of the road. And it actually exists, only one of its kind in the whole world, made exculsively to conquer Pikes Peak.

Milkysee does have a point though...In GT3 you can't do good handbrake turns and you can't do a burn out. In Need for speed one if you hit the gas and turned you could do donuts.

Overall however GT3 is the best in terms of realism...although GTA3 really isn't bad either. The car physics of course are nowhere near as good but it handles damage very well.

GT3 is the best racing game. The only thing ruin it is the handbrake, no spin and drift to use it....

nobody going for Grand Theft Auto 3 on the PS2

Yeah, I drive the Trashmaster truck to the underground railway and access to Portland.Thisis hella fun!

my friend who doesn't play video games was having so much fun playing GTA3, he was just laughing his head off running people over and once he tried to hijack an occupied police car and the cop came out and arrested him.
