By far we produce more paper products by far then every other country... Just look at how much goes into supplying the fast food industry... How many paper cups you toss in a week....

I'm thinking it would probably be paper as well. Lumber would probably be up there as well.

are you talking quantity or mass?

quantity I think the guy who said condoms was right.. but cigaretts may be number 1..

You can't really quantify steel the same way you can condoms.

Well if the question were reveresed, it would be motherboards since Taiwan produces 90% of the world's supply :)

<< i didnt think that growing things is considered producing... >>

Well yes it is in my book, and any economist's as well.

Among other things, we grow more fat asses (not talking people who act like donkeys) than any other country, probably because we produce enough food to feed every person in the US more than 3000 calories per day. I forget the exact number, it may be closer to 4000.

Actually, in terms of what the world produces compared to US production, it's almost definitely corn. The US produces something like 98% of the world's corn, and it's a crapload of bushels per year. It's not really grown much at all anywhere else in the world (except Central and perhaps South America).

Otherwise, I'd have to say knee-jerk liberals. ;)

I think you guys are wrong about condoms. I believe Japan produces and uses twice as many as the US. The reason being Japan only recently adopted the pill so condoms were the only method of birth control there.

I think I'd have to agree as well.. Tobacco is a big seller.

But if you call financial advice a product, I think this is where the US makes its big bucks.

>>tobacco.. but I'll bet we use the most oil

Actually, we use the most of everything. We're not the most populus nation, but unfortunately we comsume most of the worlds resources.
