I plan to read about 230 pages tonight, and I'm done with about 50 so far, and am only further wasting my time posting here.

And if anyone has ever read BEYOND RECOGNITION by RIDLEY PEARSON, and remembers what happened in the last 25% of the book, do tell me, it would indeed be a big help :)

With P/NP courses I can get away with reading about 30 pages out of a 1000 page book... just concentrate on the 30 pages you know plus what was discussed in class!

I read Jurassic Park, Lost World, Timeline, Ariframe, Congo, Sphere, The Andromeda Strain, The Terminal Man, Eaters of the Dead (13th Warrior), and a handful of short stories (does it appear that I am a Crichton fan?;)) each in almost one night. I didn't count the pages, but almost every one of them was started one afternoon and finished the next morning.

Hmm.. really read? Or just rush for to scan for a next day test?
For serious reading I would say damn... around 100-200 pages.. I am a slow reader...

I read the Lord of the Ring's three volumes in three consecutive nights. I guess my record is about 700 pages beginning in the afternoon and finishing by bedtime.

It took me 5 days to read Timeline and about 2 weeks to read War of the Rats. Some days I'd read up to 150 pages/night and then put the book down for a couple days cause of school/work.

I think those are the only 2 books I've read and actually enjoyed them. I don't read that much...obviously :)

400 pages in a little over 3 hours... :) Dove into Stephen King's The Stand: Complete and Uncut at about 2:30 one afternoon, then "came to", and realized it was almost 6! It wasn't even like reading, more like watching a movie...
