I got a Abit VT6X4 Slot1 board last week and put my PIII650(Slot1) on it. Replaced the PC100(ran at 124FSB= 806mhz). Today I replace the PC100 w/PC133 and when I change FSB to 140 (voltage at default 1.65)(to make 910mhz), It WILL post @910, but boots hafway into Windows, it just freezes halfway thru. My temp running the 650 @866(133FSB) is only 33 degrees C or 91 F. Would altering the voltage allow me to get my 140FSB? Any ideas would be appreciated. Email me at noel@noellucas.com if you want to. Thanks again.

By all means bump the voltage, but not more than 10%, 15% max, over the spec 1.65 volts.

Check your RAM CAS & RAS BIOS settings and increase them if necessary.

You didn't mention what kind of vid card or cooling you're using, but I doubt they're the problem.

But I would be happy with 133 MHz anyway, as long as it's really stable.

Yea, it's really stable at 133, but I wanna "experiment" more with it. As far as cooling goes, I have dual globalwins on a monsterous heatsink, Guillemot GeForce SDR @130/170. It's rock solid at that but I know it has capacity for more. I'll try a few more tricks and update you guys on it. Thanks Ulysses.
