antidisestablishmentarianism... I hate it when people forget the accent on the ninth syllable.

I second the "loose" for "lose" spelling problem these forums seem to have. I have never encountered this error in my life until the past few months here on these forums.

The screw is LOOSE you LOSERS.

the / teh is a typo.

The other words people have posted are actual misspellings, probably due to excessive glue consumption in third grade.

What really drives me insane is when people ramble on and on...all in one paragraph. It makes things so hard to read it's rediculous.

Asians like to spell true as ture.
ture really pisses me off.
Because I always read the word out in my mind when I am reading, I would be sounding the word out in my head "turd"

If you're going to criticize... The "often" in your title is redundant.

Not necessarily. While "most misspelled" can be read the same as "most often misspelled" it does not have one solid meaning. This vagueness is corrected by adding "often" so that you clearly know the intention of the statement. Also, I feel that adding "often" gives the sentence a greater emphasis.
Why aren't you being consistent with your poll question?

It's not that hard to spell. It's only three letters long.

Why is this word so difficult for people to spell?

Because people don't think of the root of the word when spelling it... finite. Most people spell phonetically which is often incorrect because of how lazy Americans have become, in part due to certain branches of the music industry where it has not only become acceptable, but is encouraged not to use proper English. I'm guilty of "definately."
