Peace Corp? I dunno. I don't pay close attention. I used to give money to American Rivers though.

imo no such thing.

at the very least human rights watch and amnesty international are excellent organizations. Their detractors are typically governments and radical zealots...which would make perfect sense. the documents they have published over the years are also excellent

I donate to charities that help people I want to help, without getting so hung up on whether they are agnostic and moderate like me. Christians can do good work, so can Republicans and Democrats, liberals and conservatives.

Besides Child's Play one of the main places I donate to is Northwest Harvest, the major food bank supplier for Washington state. Helping moms feed their kids seems neutral to me.

Also, the AT Moderators Benevolent Fund. The more you give, the more benevolent we are.

You guys know the Salvation Army is a church, right? Hardly religiously neutral.

They aren't a church.

They don't push religion on people.

They will help anyone in need regardless of political or religious affiliation - how is that not being neutral?

they actively discriminate against gays.

but anyways... I'd say the International Red Cross / Red Crescent.

I guess Make-a-Wish too, but if I had to choose, I'd rather help someone live than help a terminal patient die.
