From your own experiences, what type of place would be fun for a young male and his sister to visit?

The very first thing off the top of my mind would be Greece, but unfortunately that might be a little too far to be traveling in the time that i'm alotted.

I was thinking Amsterdam would be fun, but i don't know exactly how fun it would be if i'm hanging out with my sister the whole time 😛 hah, jk.

Anyways, anything that might be out of the ordinary?

yet another vote for Amsterdam. it's pretty fun.

Florence is my favorite city, but I don't know if I'd classify it as fun, perse.

Oh, I had a lot of fun in Zurich!

I have an uncle that owns a Chinese food restaurant in Switzerland. I would love to go, but that's one of the places that might be a bit too far.

Ohh, and i forgot to mention, i'll be staying in London, in one of the "Beverly Hills" type areas. w00t for siblings that live in cool places 😀

So far I think we're signed up for one of those "Haunted London" tours.

Definitely hit Bath while in England. Also, I recommend the tour that lets you see Stonehenge at sunset. They actually let you get up close and touch the stones. Pretty cool except it was cloudy when we went.

One of those, i think it started with a K.

...but, wth is a "bath?" I thought it was a city before someone mentioned a Roman Bath.

yeah the city is named Bath, and they have a "museum" of the Roman Baths

basically, the town was built on top of a hot spring

Hop a ferry to Ireland. Great beer, great pub food, amazingly friendly people. I loved that country (especially in the smaller cities and towns -- try Dingle on the west coast).

Don't get me wrong, I like England, but I loved Ireland.

when did you go? when i went they didn't allow anyone up close because too many tourists had started defacing the stones.

London is fun. there is good hiking in scotland and i hear edinburgh is cool.

you can take a day trip to paris via the tgv.

amsterdam rocks. especially their, um, coffeehouses.

prague is beautiful and has a good nightlife but is pretty far unfortunately. it's really cheap though.

how much time do you have?

I live 30mins away from London.

Go to China town for a bit. Everything is close if you use the underground.

England: a Natives Guide.

London rocks for nightlife, daytimes is limited mainly to the obvious tourist stuff, but is still cool......definitely check out the crown jewels ;-)

Food is good, altho its mostly in the foreign cuisine restaurants...lol

Outside areas around London are pretty good for getting some fresh air activities in. Hertfordshire & Surrey offer some cool stuff, hiking, medeival stuff etc. Avoid Essex, its just flatland and car companies..lol
Kent isnt bad, specially the coastal areas.

Go West Country if you want good cyder and cool surfing, go North england if you want massive choices of warm ale, buxom wenches and people who speak english but cannot be understood....hehe

edit: btw, i live halfway between Wembley Stadium and Harrow boys school (where Winston Churchill was educated), which is just outside North West London, part of Greater London. One piece of advice, when visiting London, if you use the London Underground Map to navigate your way around on the trains, do not consider the places to be the distances apart that the map shows, the map is not distance accurate, it simple organises the various tube lines (Metropolitan, Jubilee, Central Line, District Line, Northern Line etc) into a way that looks simple and less messy.

My advice: get the fvck out of London and get up to Scotland. Edinburgh is a GREAT town, as are St. Andrews and many others.

That is all.
