Ghetto would be about 20 setups like that, all running a mish-mash of hardware, strewn about on pizza boxes to keep them from touching the metal card table they are all sitting on, with wires going everywhere and the owner not knowing what leads to what. In the corner there would be about 4 crappy Kmary box fans blowing out into the other rooms and a shelf of all the hardware that has failed or has too much dust on it to pop into a computer randomly. The chair sitting in front of the desk would be an old GMC Safari minivan seat attached to a few 2x4s with castors on them, and underneath the desk an old salvation army looking footstool with a blanket to keep feet warm and cozy.

beer cans strewn about, a plate of uneaten food from last week on top of one of the computers and the finishing touch... a $100 keyboard.

If you really want ghetto, how about removing the power button, LEDs, and other stuff attached to the front of the case. Therefore, there would be no case at all, which makes it MORE GHETTO.

Where can I buy a power button? I don't know how to remove that stuff.

You have pliers? That's how you remove the buttons. Rip the bezel off and put those suckers out.

What will the power button look like?

Ghetto is a rig that you have to kick before turning it on so the mice will scurry off to the other side of the room (using the hole they chewed in the discarded pizza box as their entrance and exit). Every so often, you forget to kick it, and turn it on only to hear the tiny rodent squeals as their tail gets chopped off by a spinning heatsink fan.

It's taken you this long to get a PII running... at this rate you should be at P4 in about 8 years ;)

It should be a small black cubish looking piece with two wires going into it... even though there are six pins on the back. Usually they either clip in or are hot glued in. Just unhook the bezel and trace the wires back.

no case at all!

Where the heck is the power button jumper pin?

You can "hotwire" your computer to start. Just grab a thumbscrew (or anything metallic) and connect the power button jumpers with it.

But isn't it true that if you leave the thumbscrew on there that your computer will shut off?

Yeah, just like if you held down your power button.

I prefer a screwdriver. Just short it out for a moment and after it turns on, just take the screwdriver away :p

Not even close, rich boy.

Ps. Your computer skills are weak. I can bang together a working PII system blind folded and both hands tied behind my back.
