Most fun car you've ever driven?

most fun -> my evo

most terrifyingly fun -> my buddy's old drag toyota:

Euro spec BMW M3 (E36, stock 321hp). Had the car for a year or so, but I found it too expensive to own at the time.

'77 El Camino, 383 stroker motor, upgraded internals/forged crank, blower, just stupidly built, sloppy handling, but would lift the front easily out of the hole. Total track queen though, didn't have important things like :

license plates
passenger seat
much of an interior
rear gear
etc

This baby right here. Yes those wheelie bars are there for a reason. I bet no one here has as big engine to car ratio here!

E30 M3 with under 10 miles on it. In college my roommate was working for BMW shuttling cars btwn dealerships. He asked me to sub for him one day. I drove a brand new charcoal M3 with under 10 miles on it from NJ to Boston.

Well, since you qualify the question with "driven," I'd have to say the '74 Olds Supreme my dad had. He added a couple things to the factory 350 and it was red with an all-new white interior, it was awesome to cruise in.

Though when we lived in California my dad rented a Corvette for some number of days, and went through $120 in gas (Back when it was still sub-$2/gal). We went ripping through all the good roads and he would drive 130+ to work just for the hell of it. The smile that was plastered on his face was hilarious.

Gosh, I've driven vehicles that I considered "fun" for various reasons. My dad's F150 4x4 was real fun with big off-road tires and a lift kit. Went all over the place off-roading, and even going up sand dunes. My Mustang GT was fun in a "too young, too much horsepower" way. ()🙂 My wife's 2011 WRX is fun because it accelerates like crazy, and handles like a go-kart.

Although I still have my 85 Vette (which is fun) my favorite car will always be my 2000 Contour SVT.

That's interesting. What made your Contour SVT fun? FWIW I had a 1998 Contour SVT. While I really liked that vehicle, its fun factor for me has been eclipsed a few times over.

Believe it or not, that Contour SVT will handle rings around that 85 vette (stock v stock). The C4 Vettes, particularly the early ones, didn't handle very well.

Except for the open differential, my wife's old Mazda 3s handled rings around my Contour SVT, and even out-accelerated it. Ah well. The Contour SVT did handle better than my old Mustang GT.

honestly, my z4.. i haven't been able to enjoy many fast cars. I can't drive a stick, and I don't know many people that buy really nice sports cars.

The '73 Camaro I had for awhile was the funnest. Had 5.13's out back and ran on avgas. If you've never smelled avgas before it's like candy coming out of the exhaust. Stoplight to stoplight it was a blast.
