I feel like Hitler should easily crack the top 10. Homer and Pythagoras have had a lot more time to be known, but there's more people alive today than there's ever been and I guarantee Hitler is more well known among living people than Homer or Pythagoras. Or Plato, Aristotle, Socrates, Alexander the Great, Confucius or Archimedes for that matter.

Maybe it's an issue of Wikipedia editors intentionally trying to avoid Godwin's Law?
