most effective upgrade?

ok, my sys is getting a littl elsow now, but being a college student i'm not blessed iwht unlimited money.
current specs are:
XP1600+ (AGOIA week 13) @ 1.77GHz (~XP 2100-2200)
MSI 8KTA
2x 256mb PC2700 DDR Ram
GF4MX 440

What would be the best option to upgrade? I do play a few games but I have no CAD, minor prgraming and only some web and graphic design. Mostly i use my computer for music, research, email, and games. Have about 150-200 to spend. Any suggestions?

i would say video card

a ~2100-2200 is good enough that it wont cause a bottleneck with most video cards

a 9800 non pro @ $200 with free HL2 is an AWESOME deal if you can still get in on it at frys

Ditto on vid card. Right now that would be the bottleneck. Then memory.

Hmmm... I don't think you have to necessarily "stay away from nvidia..."

A ti4200 would be a nice little upgrade.
