I didn't read the article, but is this talking about the people who LIVE there or who WORK there?

if its the latter, then it makes sense.

Lots of rich people and private schools. Have you been to Oakland, ever? Richmond is more ghetto than Oakland.

Actually, not too long ago some magazine did a report on the most "overpriced" cities in the US...basically comparing job opportunities, average pay, and cost of living. Seattle was higher than SF in the ranking, because (apparently) the cost of housing compared to the salary is better in SF...

I like Seattle, though, that's where I live.
