What's the most days that you've been on AIM without having been kicked off or signing off? Just wondering...:p

I hate that program. I wish the original version of the software was put on disk and thrown on to a pyre. Fvcking teenagers spend their lives typing gossip.

<- Guy with nothing better to do than to keep track of how long he stays on AIM. I also have to put in that APC UPS that was part of the recall, but that can wait...:D

Perhaps someone is designing a suitable "Agoraphobic PC Geek of the Year" award even as we speak!

If it wasn't AIM, it would be ICQ, MSN, or Yahoo. Granted, many kids waste their lives away in front of it, that's not the fault of the program.

My longest uptime on AIM is 28 days... I left it on when I went on a trip for part of the summer ;) Forgot about it and had like 200 away msgs.

I think I've gone about 8 days before. Not because my computer dies or anything. The unreliability of the internet connection here at school has killed several long uptimes I've managed to achieve.

i've had it up for a week a few times, but then i always need to reboot for something or get kicked from the servers.

I hit 18 days when I was on my college campus around 1999. We have an all-Cisco network so it's pretty reliable. I can't remember why I had to reboot, but I know it was Microsoft related. :p

MSN is the same way
and the thing i hate most about that POS is you go to send a message and it says "unable to" or some ghey thing..then you are presented with the login screen... who ever designed this worthless software?
why does it not automatically try to re-connect? i don't care if that's hard on their servers. ICQ tries to reconnect, and that's the way it should be! OR it could just never lose connection like ICQ does!!!!!!

stupid junk.....
