Wow. A meaningless poll where the results are skewed by a bunch of left-wing idiots with an agenda.

If they keep it up, I am sure they are next.

I was referring to the first Korean War.

God, that's a scary thought... we're about to have a second Gulf War, and (possibly, but hopefully not) a second Korean War.

We only did not win the Korean war due to the political pressure of possibly starting a larger war with China.

Some how our 40k troops we have stationed over in SK is enough to keep 1.2 million NKs at bay.

Yeah, South Korean army has absolutely NOTHING to do with it

Hahaha, you're comparing Hitler and Saddam?

You bet your ass I am. He's killed so many of his own people

You mean the kurds in the 80's? They did that and USA silenty approved it. US support of Iraq and Saddam Hussein did not drop because of that incident

and invaded a neighboring country

You mean like Iran? US actively supported Iraq in that war.

HAH! I find it funny that so many Americans think that Europeans should kiss US ass because you helped us 60 years ago. By that logic, Americans should be kissing Europeans asses since it was Europeans who discovered and colonized America.

Next time I bend down, I expect that there will be at least few American lips attached to my ass.

Errr you are comparing 60 years ago with hundreds of years ago?
The current leaders of Germany could very well have been born to members of the Nazi party (age wise).
The current leader of the US is the son of a man who was shot down multiple times in WWII.
Do you actually think that WWII is ancient history?

BTW, I do not think America is owed any ass kissing for WWII.
And the Americans who whip that out every chance they get likely can't see past thier own sense of nationalism.
Don't get me wrong. I myself am nationalistic. However, I recognise it, fully admit, and am unapologetic for it.

BTW, people should stop acting like WWII was ancient history and could never happen again.
Yes, of course, in the last 60 years (a drop of sand in time) man has evolved out of aggressive human behaviour we've practiced since the first day we roamed the earth. Not.

I have personally met two survivors of Germany's concentration camps in my life. Ancient history my ass.

edit: I should add that Nemesis you aren't really the target of my rant simply the inspiration. :D
I just keep hearing young people today who seem to feel WWII is ancient history and damn thats disturbing.

I'm from Northern Irealnd and for the past 30 odd years private American citizens have been funding terrorist acts in my country under the pretense of helping their Irish ancestors from the emigration during the potato famine. I have every sympathy for the wtc atrocity but Americans must realise that they do not have a monopoly (spelt wrong probably i know) on pain from terrorist atacks. I personally lost a couple of friends to a bombing in my local area and I feel insulted when I hear Americans talking about how they were wronged. Yes you were but you have to accept responsibility for some pretty bad things that your country has done around the world. I agree that you may not be the most dangerous country to the WESTERN world but the world does have other regions.

I believe every victim is just as important as any other vicitm. Where you come from doesn't factor into it. My point was that maby America doesn't see itself as being dangerous because they choose to turn a blind eye to past and present mistakes they have made which have led directly to suffering.

"Zakath, I have spent my entire life listening to people criticize the United States, both Americans and non-Americans. No matter what we do it is always not enough or too much. We are to blame because we become involved too late or too soon. We are either too aggressive or too passive. The fact is that the entire free world depends on us while, at the same time, lambasting us for becoming involved with their problems.

If some Americans come across as arrogant it only because they are tired of people holding their hands out for a donation and then kicking us in the shins because we didn't help them quickly enough or to the extent they expected."

We need to find a hot deal to etch those words in stone . .
Yep, agreed. Might wanna advertise it too.

So tell me Nemesis77, how many other political parties, aside from the NASPD, had an active role in German politics during the 1930s? How was public dissent and opinion towards the leadership addressed in such a "free" society as the one chaperoned by Hitler, Himmler, Bormann et al.? FYI, Göring was far from being "the master himself".

HAH! I find it funny that so many Americans think that Europeans should kiss US ass because you helped us 60 years ago. By that logic, Americans should be kissing Europeans asses since it was Europeans who discovered and colonized America.

No, wrong answer. We are a product of you. We are the result of your failures as a European society. The USA is largely the product and result of European society which essentially failed to properly address the inherent needs of its own citizenry. Monarchy, socialism, famine, persecution, dictatorship,....... need I go on? Our ancestors left (read: fled) the European continent in droves and came here because the Europeans were fvcked up. Plain and simple. You, as in post-war Europe, are not the result of any of our failures, but of our success.

SK has troops but it is the US that is posted behind the DMZ. Even if you count the SK troops, they are significanty outnumbered by NK troops.

You are right, bad stuff happens all the time. I would rather not let bad stuff happen on our home soil. Just as I am sure you dont want bad stuff to happen on your soil.

You don't know the truth or at least you don't post it. You are giving Canadians an undeserved bad reputation with your stupid conspiracy theories and idiotic statements such as " if Prescott Bush had a tie to a Nazi bank then his grandson must be a Nazi."

Take a class in logic. You have shown none in this thread.

I'm all for truth....But your insinuation of GW is nothing but a personal attack.

GW can't control what happened 60 years ago...Can you?

If your grandfather was a nazi, are you a nazi?..........NO, so don't even try to imply any kind of connection there, when there is nothing to be connected with.

It was more than a "tie to a Nazi bank". Anyway, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

So in your logic, anyone that drives a Ford must be a raving skinhead Nazi.
"It was Henry Ford who in the 1930s built the Soviet Union's first modern automobile plant (located at Gorki) and which in the 50s and 60s produced the trucks used by the North Vietnamese to carry weapons and munitions for use against Americans.2 At about the same time, Henry Ford was also the most famous of Hitler's foreign backers, and he was rewarded in the 1930s for this long-lasting support with the highest Nazi decoration for foreigners."

Al Gore Jr. must be a biggot.
"Al Gore Sr.'s vote against the Civil Rights Act of 1964, attempt to derail the Act with a 74 day filibuster to the Bill and desire to segregate schools "

Do you really want to continue this line? I can find many more examples such as the above.
