Ok...

i am tired of buying cheapo dress shoes..

i am willing to spend up to $175 on some dress shoes for work.

I need darker brown dress shoes for work -- we wear ties at work.

I heard Ecco and Rockports are comfy as hell......

So what are your suggestions?

TIA!

I've had a couple of pairs of rockports over the last few years, and they were great, very comfortable. Now my tennis sneakers I wear dont seem as comfortable in comparison.

I'm going to have to join the 'me too' crowd on the rockports. They provide great cushioning, and they're very light.

I find that my Eccos far more confortable than my Rockports. But then again, I spent $300 for my Eccos and only $100 for my Rockports.

Got a $240 pair of Ecco's (Ecco City precisely) here and they feel like sneakers. I love them.

I hear the nice Cole-Hanns are unbelievable. They use Nike Air technology.

I have a pair of Kenneth Cole Reactions and I love them. How do these Rockports compare?

Ok, changed my order to a pair of Rockports and a pair of Eccos. I'm always on the lookout for comfortable shoes, so i'll give these a shot.

Just do what I do. Go down to payless and pick up a pair of shoes. If they are not comfortable, stuff some toilet paper into them.

depends on level of dress. Johnston and Murphy makes a nice shoe I bought a few years ago when they allowed JC Penney to license their shoes under the Stafford line. I am not sure if that is the case anymore, but I saved $50 on the pair and after 3 years of use (a resole or two) like new.

check out GQ, Esquire, Playboy and other men's magazines for shoe line ups and reviews.

Check out what everyone else, esp the bosses are wearing.

Deer Stags are quite comfy and you can get them cheap at JC Penney.

No need to pay $175. Well, I wouldn't.

Absolutely! They look really nice, too.

I just got a pair of Nunn Bush Comfort Gel shoes a month ago, and they are awesome! They have a gel cushion built into the heel. I'm in IT, and spend more than half of my day on my feet, and they've never felt this good by the time I leave work. I highly recommend you at least try some on. Got mine at Kohl's .

Red Wings. They're expensive, but they last forever.

My workboots are Red Wings with the custom insert (heat and mold to your feet).

I can work all day chainsawing and splitting wood and my feet, while tired, never get achy (in the arch). I could wear them all day everyday but they are a little to heavy for just walking around while stores.
