most comfortable car seats you ever sat in?

just about all the car seats I've sat in are somewhat uncomfortable. what's the most comfortable car seat you've ever sat in?

I'm not a chunky guy so normal seat bolsters don't get near me...My Corbeau CR-1's are perfect for my size, though

My Mclaren SLR.

But seriously probably something lame like an Audi A4 or a Jag x type or an Acura TSX. I've sadly never been in a particularly nice car.

Mitsubishi EVO VIII

Seriously comfortable, and hold you in place when your pulling a full G in a turn

Most "comfortable" (plush, feel good when you first sit in them) seats tend to end up making my back hurt or legs tired. On the other hand I can drive all day in an older Accord and feel great, even though they aren't real plush to start with.

I was looking at a few cars in one day a few months back.

The Audi TT... Awesome Interior, seats were terrible.

Boxster... Seats were pretty comfortable all around, no complaints.

Honda S2000... Couldn't even tell the seats were there, really comfortable.

I'm partial to the Recaro Pole Positions I have in my car, but they are a little bit of a pain to get in and out of at times, especially for passengers that aren't used to them, and they don't recline, so the backseat is even more useless than it was before. Comfortable though once you get in, wiggle a tad and get settled. 🙂

Recaro Pole Positions

The seat in my 1992 Prizm was murderous on my back on long drives. My 2000 Prizm was a slight improvement. My 2004 Sebring seat doesn't make my back hurt at all after driving for nine hours. The seats in my 1977 Grand Marquis are pretty comfortable, but I've never sat in them for more than half an hour.

I like my scion tc seats. feels more secure than the leather seats in my maxima.

hey how do you like your tC? I've seen a few of those around town, they look pretty neat.

leather = cold in the winter and hot as hell in the summer...

Is their appeal in looks only ? I mean car seats are not exactly as plush as leather sofas.

I really like the leather seats in my 300M. They are very comfortable.

I agree. They feel great on long trips. Some people have said they lack support, but I haven't found that to be the case.

For me, it's a toss-up between seats in the Mitsu Evo or the seats in the 02-03 Subaru WRX. Neither are for the wide-ass'ed. I don't like leather seats or big wide seats that don't hold you firmly.

Doesn't matter when you've got heated seats and a heated steering wheel.
