Anyone want to predict how much money Dark Knight will make on its first weekend? Iron Man made $100 million, I would expect Dark Knight to do at least as well.... probably even more so because of the circumstances.

I'm leaning toward record territory here. I mean even my freaking Mom is planning to see it on opening weekend.

There hasn't been a real projection yet, though tracking is very very strong (significantly higher than Iron Man) and expected to get even better after Hancock opens.

The IMAX units are also going to drive the gross up as those have much higher ticket prices.

Dark Knight would have to beat the $151M put up by Spiderman 3 in the three day gross. That might be hard to reach. The #2 and #3 slots however are definitely in range though I'd say (POTC: Dead Mans Chest at $135 and Shrek 3 at $121).

I've been itching to see Dark Knight ever since I saw the first preview for it. It's been a LONG time since I've been THIS excited about a movie. It's gonna be the biggest movie of the summer, guaranteed. Hancock will be the 2nd because, come on, it's Will Smith. The man is gold.

I am anticipating Hellboy II the most. Dark Knight is a take it or leave it movie for me. Tropic Thunder looks interesting as well.

I am also looking forward to Hellboy. Dark Knight might just become a rental for me.
I'll also catch Hancock as Will can do no wrong.

Dark Knight fo shizzle

most hyped-up performance of a non-living actor ever

interested to see just how good Ledger is as The Joker

Although there are actors who look like undead, Ledger was alive when they filmed the movie.
Really? This whole time I thought they were just zombies. huh, you learn something new every day. Thanks, Baked!

I forgot about Hancock, I think it looks interesting. And yeah, Hellboy II I guess. Though I might wait for DVD.

I don't think it will beat Wall-E and not to mention, Indiana Jones stomped Iron Man with opening weekend sales (had 3x the monies)
