I stopped in New Hampshire to get gas in a rural area and asked for directions once.

I actually had to ask them to repeat themselves and had to decipher what they were saying. Talk about a thick brogueish accent

southern accent, IMO it makes people sound ignorant, even if they are really smart

I knew this one girl who was brilliant and graduated from Harvard but she had a really thick Boston accent.

It made her sound ignorant even though she wasn't.

Whenever I hear a chick with a New England accent it turns me off, even if she's hot.

No offense to the Vietnamese ATOTers here but Vietnamese accents are pretty annoying. I can't tell if it's English or Vietnamese that's being spoken.

A "good" Australian accent is great, one of my favorites. But not the overloaded crocodile hunter type, that's just too much. Sounds like when a bad actor is trying to have an American Southern accent: it just sounds exagerated and fake.

At one time i may have said Southern, but i had a gf that was southern, and she could fall back into the accent and exaggerated it, and it was sexy!

I wouldn't mind finding another girl who would call me 'sugar' with a southern accent.

Without a doubt, it would have to be "ebonics." Sure, there are other annoying accents, but none butcher the English language like that.

NY

Long Island, NY to be more specific
Yeah it's here but I hardly find it annoying. It's just one of those "heh how can you talk like that and not notice?" accents...

I personally haven't picked up on it myself and I've been here practically all my life. Check that... I do say dawwg.
