How about Larry Bird stealing the inbounds pass and hitting a 3 to win the championship?

??? Are you talking about the 1987 playoffs when he stole the ball and pass it to Dennis Johnson for the layup?

i can still remember jordan's fake which bryan russell bought and then jordan sank that shot and beat the jazz.

By fake do you mean huge push-off? He used Russell's momentum against him and basically pushed him down to get open. Not that it really would have mattered. 🙂

Edit: Here is a great video of it.

My memory of the game is pretty foggy. IIRC, the game I'm thinking of was in the late 70's. Maybe it wasn't Larry Bird... The one you're referring to was in 86 or 87; I haven't watched an NBA game since about 1986.

Please keep in mind the situation and the shot. A championship/playoff game shot should account for something more than a regular season game shot.
Well that only leaves one shot: 1983 NCAA title game. Derrick Whittenburg of NC State shoots a 30-foot airball and Lorenzo Charles catches it and dunks it at the buzzer, and NC State wins the national championship over Houston.

JMAC's performance will always be the greatest string of basketball shots in any game situation in my mind. The shots listed in the OP all have merit, but everytime I watch Bob Scheiffer's report I get choked up just like the first time I saw it. Just amazing.

That wasn't an air ball, that was a pass...😉

Not a buzzer beater but good none the less 😉

robert Horry's buzzer beater 3 ball from 2002 Western Conference finals.

Kobe drives and misses lay up, Shaq misses the 1 foot put back, Divac tips it out and Robert Horry just happens to be there at the three ball line all by himself. the Kings had all collapsed into the paint for the board.

If you're gonna talk about Reggie Miller, the 2002 first round playoff game vs. the Nets comes to mind.

Link.

He also dunked over the entire Nets team to get the game into a second OT. Unfortunantly, I think the Pacers lost that game in double OT.
