Yeah, I have spent a lot of time with Civ. THPS2 owned me for a good month or two, though.

and now Civ IV is coming out later this year...I'm going to get no sleep when that happens...

I own just about every version of Civilization out there. I bought Civ 1 for SNES, Civ II for my PS1, I have Civ 1 Civ 2, alpha centuri, Civ III gold, etc. I even have the board game that looks like risk...

Yeah come to think of it the Civ series was pretty bad as well. I remember being up all night playing Civ1 the first night I got it.

Is the board game actually fun to play?

...and yeah, I'm looking forward to CivIV (I think it's gonna be VERY buggy if they release it this year though)

i nearly failed out of college due to this game...i removed it from my computer, cracked the cds in half, tore up my key for it and haven't looked back. I'm still scared what would happen if it just randomly showed up on my computer again. Goodbye job, wife, and social life! Hello Headshot!

I've had several that get me, mostly adventure type games.

The first, though, was PacMan for the 2600! I actually had to get the game replaced under the 30day warrenty becuase I fried it. 3 days in a row, more than 15hrs each day caused the case plastic to melt and the game stopped working. For those that remember, you'd get little squares at the bottom for how many lives you had...well I had the bottom of the screen filled.

definitely a toss up between Civ2, MarioKart64 and CS:S

Civ2 is probably the game i play the longest session on, if i dont finish a game of it even tho i save it i always start a new one the next time...lol

Mariokart64 is probably the game i've been most dedicated to beating records on and stayed with a long time and gone back to after taking occasional breaks. (18.something seconds on Wario Stadium....using the straight left over the wall at start line, but power sliding straight back over the wall behind the finish line, only ever managed it all 3 laps mebbe 3 times under 20 seconds, but what an achievement, most times i had to redo one of the jumps so took around 25-28 seconds.....hmm..wonder if i still got the score on a memory card, might have to whip out me N64 and check...heh...neone else ever manage that sort of time?)

CS:S is probably the game i've spent most hours on in the time i've owned it, but i can take breaks from it when i feel like it, Civ2 only had pee breaks, mebbe food...CS:S i stop to watch a TV show or movie.....

XCom: UFO Defense
Master of Orion
Ultima Online (pre-Tamriel)
Battlefield 2

Sorry I can't really tell which was most addictive out of these since it's been many years between playing XCom and BF2

Probably the Civ series (1 on the amiga and 2 on the POC) and Hearts of Iron for longest sessions.
