They drew a little of my attention away from it for a couple years each. Those addictions are history though.
Yeehaw! multiplayer Asteroids on steroids. Loved it. Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 had me by the jimmy for a long time though. I wouldn't practice, I would train!

The Oridgional Delta Force. On my days off from work, I'd play it from 6 am till 2-3 in the morning. I'd even call in sick to play it. That was the only game I was addicted to. Learned my lesson after that one.

As for a series of games, the Tom Clancy series. (Rainbow 6, Rogue Spear, etc.)

Online play, America's Army.

Sitting down and not wanting to quit (I'll just look around this next corner...) Half Life.

My sister just sent me Jedi Knight II - Outcast, not sure why because I never asked for it. I started to play it a bit and it reminds me a lot of Half Life, pretty good and nice graphics. I like flying with Billy Dee Williams, pretty funny since I talked to him at a casino for a while.

(he was having an art show and I was telling him how my dad paints too. My dad is a hack though, then my dad walked up and Billy says "Your son says you paint too" Bwaaahahaha, it was sooo funny. My dad wanted to kill me, still a great family joke)

Right now it's GTA3. Just the thought of driving through red lights makes me smile.

I had just built a nice gaming rig last winter and bought some killer 3d games when my brother-in-law comes to town with his new PDA with a stupid little game on it. I couldn't stop playing that thing. I forget what it was called, but it had little diamonds on it and you connected the diamonds to clear the field.

been pretty hooked on Earth and Beyond for some strange reason...

But CS was by far the worst, followed by Starcraft.

Here's another vote for Asheron's Call. It was my first MMORPG and I got started in October of 2001. I was hooked for over a year, and the addiction is just now starting to wear off.

Sounds like a DOS game called Moria. I've had this game for many years and transferred it from PC to PC as I've upgraded. The EXE compile date is an ancient 11/21/1991.
