2) You posted a thread about a priest being kidnapped and said a Muslim did it, but in your link you showed it didn't say wether a Muslim did it or a North Korean Kim worshipper did it.

I said that comment about "wish death" with a little smile on my face. Obviously, you couldn't see that. I still stand by what I said earlier that they do not get along. Sure they can be friends, but do they have respect? Even in the U.S where people are educated I've had people look down at me because they thought I was a "Shia". Ask Shias what they think about Sunnis and some might say who care, and some will tell you they are pigs and low-class uneducated people. Ask Sunnis what they think about Shias and again some might not care, and others will say they are stupid for believing what they believe in. These are from my own experiences and my own opinion as I clearly said so.

Look at all the countries that have a large Shia/Sunni population. They are separated! They do not live mixed together. Look at Iraq for example.

Threatened? This is anandtech. Your threads make no difference to what goes on outside the world even if the entire Anandtech population decides to hate Muslims.

What was your purpose to that 9/11 thread? Why do you say "HAHA" when someone makes a negative comment about Muslims?

You people are going a bit far. There are hostilities between shias and sunnis, but for the most part and in most countries these two factions of Islam lively peacefully side by side. I dont agree with Sultan on almost anything, but in this case I do agree with him.

This kind of hatred between the two factions is really not widespread.

lebanon has a larger shia pop than sunni. i dont see any religious problems between the two

Pakistan has about 77% and 20%, so again thats a pretty big minority, especially when Pakistan is a large country with 150 million. But I will note that there have been some, but not major violence between shia and sunni there

Iran has the largest shia pop by far though

We must stay there until the job is done. When the Iraqi's can secure the nation on their own, they we can leave. I believe there are plans in place to gradually reduce our number of troops there as Iraq's security forces grow.

Whether the number of Iraqi security forces is 120,000 as Condeleeza Rice says or 4,000 as Joe Biden says, who knows.
