The picture quality isn't so bad if you make it 2x original size.

Watching Metallica now - pretty awesome when the whole crowd was screaming "DIE!" during Creeping Death.

Fast-forward to ACDC - I hope these guys tour again. I'd pay $1000 to see them in concert I think.

Edit: LMAO at the giant inflatable woman in the background during "Whole Lotta Rosie"

I would pay a lot to see them too, unfortunately still no word on when they plan to finish that album they started in 2002. 🙁

They haven't played a live show since late 03, so hopefully they've been working on finishing the album. Their last show sold out in 4 minutes, so I fully expect to be at the mercy of the ticketbrokers if they ever go on tour here in the US.

Morrissey is perhaps the greatest musician who ever lived. 90% of the time, it's Morrissey I'm listening to. It never gets old.

Whenever I think of pathetic musicians with no true artistic talent, Morrissey gets a spot near the top of the list.

I've got a .avi copy of this, it's pretty cool to see that snapshot of history. Oh, most of the music isn't too bad either 😛.

ACDC... how amazing !
I've them live 2 times back in Belgium and it was by far the best show I've seen, ever.

It was indoor => 11000 guys sweating like pigs are kinda smelly + I got deaf the following week.

For those about to rock, We salute you.

Slaves
Hebrews born to serve, to the pharaoh
Heed
To his every word, live in fear
Faith
Of the unknown one, the deliverer
Wait
Something must be done, four hundred years
[chorus:]
So let it be written
So let it be done
I?m sent here by the chosen one
So let it be written
So let it be done
To kill the first born pharaoh son
I?m creeping death

Now
Let my people go, land of goshen
Go
I will be with thee, bush of fire
Blood
Running red and strong, down the nil
Plague
Darkness three days long, hail to fire
[chorus]

Die by my hand
I creep across the land
Killing first born man
Die by my hand
I creep across the land
Killing first born man
I
Rule the midnight air the destroyer
Born
I shall soon be there, deadly mass
I
Creep the steps and flood final darkness
Blood
Lambs blood painted door, I shall pass

/me moshes around room!

Awesome video, I've watched it more than a couple of times now.

Both Metallica and Pantera absolutely rock in it; Pantera was a bit youngish still (they hadn't released Vulgar Display of Power, the songs of which blow everything else they've down completely out of the water) but all in all, first rate.

I had the privilege of seeing Pantera actually open for Metallica when they came to Mexico City in 1999. They played at a racing track, normally used for Formula Kart Races. The floor seats where artificially divided (because, of course, there are no floor seats in the middle of a Racing track normally) so people who bought the more expensive tickets were obviously closer to the stage. The only thing that separated 'sections' was some sort of police style tape (like the ones they use to delimit a crime scene).

When pantera jumped to the stage, the crowd went nuts. After a couple of songs, Anselmo literally ordered the crowd to ignore the divisions and to cluster up next to the stage. So of course, everyone (including people who were far in the back, in the actual seats about 20ft. above the ground) rushed to the stage.

I ended up right next to the stage, with a lot of bruises but considering I paid for one of the cheap seats, it was worth it 😀

I absolutely love that song.

It has some of the best riffs in the history of metal, in my opinion.

Back when I played with my band, we used to close our sets with it. It was definetly the highlight of our show.

By the way, in case anyone is interested, Metallica now offers hundreds of live recordings for free download at their official website

Most of them are post 2004 (and they have literally hundreds of shows), but there are some very cool ones from 1983, 1986 and so on.
