Thats almost as bad as when my buddy decided he would build his own machine. He called me over after it wouldn't turn on and asked me to take a look. I can smell a nize ozone odor already, and see a unopened bag of small parts on the floor. Opening the case showed that he didn't use any risers for the motherboard, and screwed it directly to the case. Massive frying. :)

Oof. Poor bastard.

The more stupid stuff I hear about, the luckier I feel about my first computer building going off flawlessly as far as hardware assembly.

That's awesome!!

I know very little about computers, but at least I know I know nothing. Before i built my machine I did my reseach and them practiced by taking apart my old one a putting it back together.
