Mornings in sun, heat & humidity are wrecking my workouts

I work outside in the mornings and mother nature been making me her bitch the last few weeks. I stay bloated and my endurance is shot until I get the weekend or a rainy day to recover. Beyond just staying hydrated are there other steps I can take to mitigate this? I'm starting to get discouraged with the loss of gains I had been making with my workouts. Now I'm just feeling weak and looking jiggly after making a lot of effort over the past two months.

Acclimate? I run in 110 degree every evening. Its not so bad once you're used to it, and you've been hydrating properly. Just work on maintenance workouts until the weather improves. In the summer, my running distances drop way down but pick up again in the fall, winter, and spring.

Make sure to replace all the salts and minerals you'll lose if you're sweating all day..

Low levels of those will make u feel sluggish with low energy too..

Yep, Gatorade/Powerade and a shit-ton of water. Drink continuously throughout the day. It can take 7-10 days to properly acclimate to a significant increase in heat and humidity.

Being a Floridian, I know this one.

In addition to the hydration, wear wicking material. Also, use the ice bandana trick They sell collars you can put in the freezer and such too, but they are obviously more expensive solutions.

I like to stick my head under the hose too. If you don't have access, bring a gallon of chilled water with you. cooling down the neck and head work IME.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll drink more water and freeze up some water containers and keep them on me. Any suggestions on breakfast? I seemed to do better on fruit/granola/yogurt than eggs/chicken salad but need to experiment more before I know if that definitely has an effect.

The high carb ones are good right before a workout so if you eat and then go work out 10-20 min later, it'll be perfect. The eggs one is more for a long-lasting fullness - usually if you're not going right to work out.
