I thought i read somewhere that taking 2 regular birth-control-pills is almost same as
getting the MOP from a doc....true?

Type and where in the rotation the pills come from.

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't around 6 to 8 pills placebo's? Usually around the end?

ALSO it depends on the type of birth control pill.
Yep...there are primarily 2 kinds of BC....one makes you think you've got one in the oven, and locks down your ovaries.... The other takes the more abrasive approach and can kill a zygote in the case of pregnancy. I know of 4 people who took the more mild BC and got pregnant in the last 2 years.

erm..i've "prescibed" to some gals to just take 2 REAL bc pills(not placebos) as a subst for calling
the doc for a MOP

Yes.. it is two pills which are normally used for birth control. I don't know what type of specific type of bc.....
i think it's the type that makes your 'womb' unhospitable for er..what do you call it... seeded egg...
(therefore, there are a lot of people out there who'd consider this type of bc pill, abortion pill)

warning, it is bad for your liver, and will cause vomit with certain people.

I hope they weren't ones you slept with -- I wouldn't trust that at all. Have you tried a firm punch to the stomach yet? 😉

Don't take a chance, go see the doc. Anything else would be stupid.

Definately.

The RISK is just too great.

Didn't know 2 pills were thought as the same as the MOP....

I believe they're just normal "pills" that have to be taken at precise intervals (12 hours) for maximum effectiveness.

And the placebo pills are 7 days worth so that the woman doesn't have to stop taking a daily pill...get in the routine and stick with it.

and when a woman says, "The pill wasn't convenient for me." ----> "I couldn't remember to take it."

This link will tell you which of the birth control pills that are generally available can be used as emergency contraception methods, and how much of each type and what timing you should take them.

Well, I was going to say NO, but thanks for the link. That is very interesting. 🙂

Just get her on the pill as a regular suppliment and you won't have any problems. Believe me, it's worth it! 🙂

Read that link, though. It totally depends on the type of BC she is using. In some cases you have to take up to 40 pills. :Q But more often 8 - 10.
