It just had a quick look through, maybe i missed something but i noticed the 1920 x 1200 oblivion benchies got a higher frame rate than the 1280 x 1024 ones. Surley this cant be correct?

They use different settings. One has high settings, one has medium settings. One has large textures, one has medium. The 1280x1024 has high on both, the 1920x1200 had medium on both.

yeah they have a queer way of testing

they find the best playable settings at different resolutions, means you gotta read the article, but at least it goes into a bit more detail than some other sites.

someone on AT needs to get this card and flash it to an xt bios and see if it works, unlocking the extra pipes / shaders....i'm anxious to see the ability of this card from a mod / oc standpoint.

Yup. Unless they price this card lower than the 7900GTs out there or it is unlockable, than I don't think it is as good a value.

Buddy they're comparing an ATI STOCK card to the heavily oc'd 7900GT XXX (thats 560/1650 vs. stock 450/1320), and the X1900GT beats it in plenty of the tests or at least equals it. If they'd compared it to what they managed to overclock the X1900GT to (625/1480), then it's obvious the X1900GT would have easily pulled away.
