yea, depends on the bitrate of the 1080p/i file. for the original couple vids, only the coral reef one could slaughter most systems. it certainly did mine. out of the few iof the new ones i've tried so far, robotica, speed, magic of flight..1080 kills my system. and its an xp 1800@2.4ghz.. which i guess u could call a 3200+ atleast right? bah. :)

can't wait for hd dvd:) less stressful i bet,, since its only mpeg2 at high bitrate.

They're definitely higher quality. If you can't tell the difference then don't bother getting HD yet;)

The 1080 ones make my system struggle like Star Jones on the last mile of a charity 10K run. The 720s are fine. P4 1.6A at 2.12, 1 GB DDR RAM, 9700 Pro.

WEll, the fact is that you can blow them up, and they will look fantastic.

The T2 one is INSANE...I think it is around 1920x1080 = 1080p

This is the next standard of DVD's right here! Can't wait. MPEG-2 is so 1994!!
