More Westboro Wackiness

Lunatics. They made an appearance here where I live. I think there was a total of 4 of them. And the mouthy chick didn't even show up.

WBC came to my old high school to protest the Gay-Straight Alliance there. During lunch, hundreds of kids came to counter-protest, and ran a fundraiser that raised $3000 for the GSA.

Saw that in the news 😎
They should run fundraisers for gay organizations at every WBC picketing and maybe then they'll stop them.

Fixed.

no no no.. don't you see its just easier to make ignorant, all encompassing blanket statements?

It's not a blanket statement.

Drugs don't ruins everyone's mind, just like religion doesn't ruin everyone's mind.

He is just saying that minds that are ruined by religion are worse off than those that were ruined by drugs.

They came to my campus to protest Obama and the "liberal" University of Chicago....

I completely ignored them. A ton of people led a counter protest and raised money for some program with it...

Those folks claim to be adhering to Fundamentalist principles as enumerated in the Bible, but nobody with that much hatred in their hearts, whether Christian, Muslim, or whatever, can truly claim to be fundamentalist.

But hey, I'm agnostic and I hate everyone.

They were at the town high school a few streets away from mine (Austin Prep) just a couple weeks ago.

You didn't miss much. It was a short article and I quoted the best part.

I have a lot of friends that live out there still, some of the nicest people you could meet. I'm not sure how anyone (Christian or whatever the WBC is) can hate people they don't even know so much.

I wonder how many people have actually read 'The Fundamentals'. Scary stuff if you apply it to today.

The Westboro guys aren't fundamentalists, but simply nuts.

I think even the most conservative right wing religious AT user with an English degree would agree that the English language does not have a valid word to describe the combination of "stupid" plus "jerkassholefuckfacemoronshithead" to accuratly describe Westboro Baptists.
