Between trophy wives that spend lots of money on high end clothing and expensive restaurants, who in turn motivate guys to work hard and earn money, and the worker bee that have "real jobs", whether it be corporate or being a waitress--who contributes more to the economy and its survival?
 
workers = production = added value = growth

trophy wives are just an extension of the man's wallet. useful to the economy to get that money back into it, but its the same money he would contribute himself without the woman.
 
Working women produce. Trophy wives spend wealth quite well, but let's face it. That wealth was going to get spent anyway, if not by the man who earned it, then by his descendants.

I wonder what effects of the residual wealth of a truly rich person would be without a wife to spend it all though. Perhaps all his children and their children would be forced to work for a living and produce if the wife blew all the money before they could get their grubby little paws on it. In that sense the trophy wife has created multiple productive individuals while the working woman can only be responsible for herself.
 
If there were no working women we would all make higher salaries because there would be less people in the workforce. Also, unemployment would be eliminated because all of the jobs currently held by women would become available.

You can't get rid of a trophy wife without losing half your shit. At least with some prostitutes, you end up with more than you bargained for when you're done with them... 😀

except, with less total household income being generated, there is less money to spend in the economy, so businesses must cut jobs and salaries to make up for the decreased amount of money being spent on their products
 
There's nothing stopping a "trophy wife" from being a damn good mother also. However, the working woman does have to juggle her career, which while still possible, a lot more difficult.
