500 bucks says Obama loses. Bet or no bet?

You and your drunken wagers . . . How come you declined my bet that neither Cain nor Perry (who you said "WILL" be our next President) would be elected?

I would bet $100, but I am not dumb enough to bet $500 on something I have no control over when there is still a realistic chance (albeit less than 50/50) that the President will lose to Romney. I will bet $500, though, that if Gingrich is nominated, the President will be re-elected.

This guy sounds like my and my brother when we were kids. Every stupid ass thing that came up, we'd be like "wanna bet?, wanna bet?, wanna bet?".

That lasted for a few months, as I recall.

I was 10, he was 8. In rather short order we realized how retarded that was, and we stopped doing it.

😀

I take that as no bet.

Why should he take your bet when you wouldn't take his? You're a degenerate loser.

I proposed the bet, on my terms. It's real easy, I made the bet, he choose to change terms of said bet, that means no bet.

Are you new to this bet thing?

This is prime example of the liberal being unsure of their position. I am sure in mine. He did not bet me. I proposed bet, he tried to change terms of said bet.

He declined my bet. My bet still stands to the libtard.

-edit-
Oh, you calling me a loser. A 500 buck bet is nothing to me. Who's the loser? It's chump change to me, a day at the track.

You rejected my own bet that neither Cain nor Perry (who you said "WILL" be our next President). Does that make you "unsure in your position"? If so, why were you so sure Perry would be our next President?

Why won't you bet me $100? Aren't you sure in your position?

For what it's worth, I think a $500 bet should be significant to anyone with common sense, regardless of their wealth. I make a nice living (I'd have to think better than your own - I am a partner in a law firm - though one never knows), but that doesn't mean I am inclined to bet real money on something that is out of my control. I think it's more likely than not President Obama will be re-elected, as the polls reflect. Intrade agrees. That being said, I value the money I work hard to earn, and don't think it would be wise to bet $500 on a Presidential election before the Iowa caucus has even occurred. I try to be wise when possible.

You are arguing rationally. Spidey is arguing emotionally. Once you look at it that way it all makes sense pretty clearly.

BTW, it's also pretty fun to watch spidey in full meltdown mode here. I can only imagine how bad it will be in November. The guy is simply not prepared.

So that should only be 2-3 hours of work for you then.

Bet or no bet pussy? I am sure of my position that Obama can't possibly win. Regardless of his opponent, most of this country will be voting to get him out of the white house to stop his destruction.

How many people are motivated to keep him out of the white house? The majority of the country.
How many people are motivated to keep him in? Not much.

How am I a "pussy" for rejecting your bet? I am just showing some common sense. How is it that you're not a "pussy" for rejecting mine?

You can rest assured that this place will be seriously uncomfortable for you if President Obama is re-elected, which still looks more likely than not.

So that's a no bet then. It's not a lot of money to either of us, so why not just say you're not confident in Obama winning? Whenever I make this very simple proposition liberals always squirm, try to add outlandish conditions, etc.

It tells me a great deal how much they know they are in trouble come November.

No more!
No BAMA!
NOVEMBER!

It's coming. Can't you hear it? Can you feel it? The great American Awakening? It's coming.

teabagtag for november ownage

Yes, he did bet and Perknose beat everyone to the punch and collected $500. To his credit, Spidey did pay and IIRC, Perknose just donated it to charity.

I'm glad to see he pays his debts, but this is just more evidence of some seriously deranged behavior on his part. Any non-crazy person could see that O'Donnell was going to get blown away. Should people really be taking advantage of the mentally ill?

I never said I was highly confident in him winning, though at this point I think he probably will. Indeed, I said as recently as a couple of months ago that Romney would likely beat President Obama. Certainly if the GOP is stupid enough to nominate Gingrich or Paul (and given the party's track record of foolish behavior thus far this year, I don't think we can rule out the possibility of them nominating almost anyone over Romney), President Obama will win in a landslide. We are too far away from the election to know for sure who will win the election - this is why your bet seems so silly to me.

You, not I, are the one who keeps predicting what "WILL" happen, including Rick Perry being elected. You seem to think that unjustified confidence = bravery. This is not the case in my opinion. You are the same person who bet on Christine O'Donnell being elected (a prediction that was on its face preposterous). I think I would have learned from that humbling experience if I were you, but you appear to have learned nothing.

A fool and his money are soon parted.
