You really don't know how LAUSD and its teachers unions work lol.

I'm not saying these two women will ever get back into public education, but that the districts basically have to allow the entire legal proceedings to play out before canning them.

I agree with steppinthrax that Lippert, the leader of the pack so-to-speak, does look kinda scary in the mug shot. It's amazing that she recruited Ghirelli, and that the 30 year old woman was actually dumb enough to go along. Just couldn't leave the sorority college days behind 'em, I guess.
 
Seems to be a lot of young women willing to throw their life and entire career away to get some of that teenage 'D'. I wonder just how pervasive it really is.

LOL welcome to 90% of all teachers. "Umm I dunno what to do with my life and I umm like really like high school so ummm I think I'll be a teacher."

Several family members of mine are teachers, and the schools might as well be co-ed frat/sorority halls. If the public had a firm grasp on how teachers and students really interact with each other, and how teachers interact with one another in front of students, there'd be riots.

Very pervasive. And like I said in my previous post, it's because a lot of these teachers are still children in their own right. They've never lived their lives outside of a juvenile atmosphere. I've met 40 year old women who still act like they're 16. They've never been forced to grow the hell up and act like adults.
 
When I went to high school about 10 years ago the majority of teachers were 40+. There were a few new ones, but they didn't act like frat boys or sorority sisters. The ones that acted immature were subs.
 
I was researching on this topic a while back. I found that much of the main reason why this is happening is because many of these female teachers are in "suspended development". Meaning at some point in their teen years they were abused or suffered some trauma that caused them to halt further psychological development.

As a result they are 25 yo teenagers with teen minds.

but regardless of age, it's still a stupidly unprofessional thing to do. victimless crime or not, these teachers should lose their teaching licenses and be barred from teaching in any state.

What I'm curious about is where these teachers end up afterwards? Where do they work. My strong suspicion is they are back in the school system within another county and no one knows.

I'm pretty positive their lives are now screwed.

1. They will lose their teacher's license.
2. They will have to register as sex offenders.
3. They will now be ridiculed by their neighbors.
4. They brought shame on their family.
5. Finding a decent job will now be very difficult w/ a criminal record.

I could go on. I guess the only thing to say is...

For all the people saying "luck student" etc.:

1. would you have the same perspective if it was your own son?

2. would you have the same perspective if it was a male teacher and a female student (assuming it was consensual of course)?

My gut feeling is that the answer to both questions is "No."

Nah, stuff like this is easily discoverable and, believe it or not, background checks for teachers is more through than most jobs.
