I have no idea why England allows this to be even remotely legal. I think Texas has a much better approach, tbfh.

Wonder whatever happened to that other guy from several months back and if he ever got his house back. This squatter bullshit has to be one of the most retarded things I've ever heard of.

A police spokesman said officers had been called to the property on Sunday. He added: ‘Police attended the scene at 2.45pm. But there was nothing there for the police to take action over.’

I just can't grasp why England doesn't have a law against this. It's mind blowing that this kind of shit can happen in a modern country.

A good example of why guns are good...England needs some liberal gun laws...and castle doctrine laws to go along with them.

It amazes me that something like this is ok with people.

though didn't something recently happen in the US?

If I was in the situation and had the money (and the police wouldn't do anything about it, as they seem disinclined to do, and I couldn't just shoot them) I would just demolish the house. If the unlawful "residents" didn't vacate in time, too bad for them.

You'd have to link it. The only other recent squatter story I remember also took place in the UK somewhere.

Something like this can't happen in the US. We have guns, make my day laws, etc.

Maybe in California or some socialized communist city on the east coast.

Nope, even CA has the Castle doctrine as a part of state law. Not sure about the east coast.

Look at England's history they came to the US thinking they can squat in the US and every other place they been to. They still think that they can quat as show here but we all know when they tried that in the USA that got their ass kicked and from then on they found out the hard way that maybe they can only squat in their own country stupid fools.

Using your analogy, wouldn't we have been the squatters? Won our properties via adverse possession from the native tribes methinks....uh....or something like that. This analogy sucks.
