More Spam ?

My Gmail account has seen increased spam for the last month or so.
I rarely ever got spam before.

I always figured Gmail had an awesome spam filter, but with this latest influx, I am wondering what changed.

I used to get 1-2 messages a week that were 100% unsolicited.
Now I get about 10 a day. They seem pretty random and are not formatted similarly.

Did Gmail change their filter?
Are the spammers getting better?

Anyone else experience this?

i have too, there was actually one time about a month or so ago, that i checked my email and read everything, took a shower, came back 10 mins later, and had 30+ new emails in my inbox. they were ALL spam ... typical porn, viagra, date site, bs spam.

i clicked each one and marked em as "report spam".

but daily I still see a couple come through, into my inbox. the spam box still gets other ones, but i have noticed more slipping into my inbox.

Pretty much spam free. It's a rare event when one actually makes it through.

No spam for me, but I keep my gmail address very close to the chest. Its never used at any websites on social site.

They come in to the Spam folder almost daily. Amount will vary from 5 to 40 or so. Most for garbage, like viagra and such stuff.

I use postini as my corp spam filter, it's apparently based off of gmail heuristics.


We get a lot of spam that comes through.. And even 'submitted' properly they don't create new dats for a long long time..

no spam. i rarely give out my gmail addy though and it's a weird combination of numbers and letters.
