NOT 56K FRIENDLY

Well it's been a busy two weeks remodeling the office. See if you can tell the difference:

Before

After

Here's the shuttle arriving with the S3/S4 Truss segment

Link

The new truss segment had 2 new 120ft solar arrays (240ft tip to tip) compressed down to about 6 inches. Plus all the associated equipment to run and point the new arrays. And since I was the ISS power guy for this flight I've been putting in 12hours days the last two weeks.

Shot of the new arrays deployed

Just Hangin Around

Just for you Canadians eh!

CGI we don't need no stinkin CGI! - Lucas eat your heart out!

Come on kid we're not out of this yet!

Hope you liked 'em

my wife's a civil servant however.

That's pretty cool... Shuttle control or ISS control? From what I recall in the job interview I had there they were separate. I do have a friend working (or about to be working in) the shuttle control room.

Why does the whole space station look like its made out of cloth?

Those are thermal blankets to keep the equipment behind them at the appropriate temperatures

Paratus,

do you have any insider info on what happened with the Russian computers when the new solar panels got hooked up?
