Regardless, I strongly suspect released felons are mostly going to vote R & Trump because let’s face it to be caught and commit a crime you are likely dumb.
Dumb people tend to vote Trump.

The GOP is fighting to take their right to vote while Dems are fighting to restore it. Anyone who votes R deserves exactly what they get.

The only was to stop Republicans from stealing the election is to have vote by mail in all 50 states with a fully funded post office.

brian kemp strikes again!

this primary was supposed to happen on super tuesday. they've had 3 extra months to make sure stuff works and all of it is broken.

I am shocked, SHOCKED I SAY, that the scum who openly committed election fraud to give himself his job, is now doing the exact same thing again.

If I lived in Georgia I'd give myself an aneurysm from the constant rage. It's obvious that this country needs one uniform voting system, since the racist toddlers running the confederate states can't seem to stop themselves from disenfranchising minorities and the poor.

Yes, It sounds like a conspiracy theory to me....

Yeah, because Milwaukee so very unfortunately went from 180 polling locations down to 5 in the middle of a pandemic, while smaller cities like Madison had over 10x the number of polling locations

Conservatives have already admitted voter suppression is in their interests.

Wouldn't this effect all voters republicans and democrats?

yes & no.
I don’t know much about this problem but time and time again the problems appear to happen in Cities, big population places tend to vote blue.
Not sure if this current problem is a state wide problem or certain areas problem.
Regardless in 2020 we shouldn’t have these voting failures and everywhere should have a back up plan to capture votes if some electronic thingy fails. Inexcusable to have to wait hours to vote.
I have never waited more than 10 minutes max to vote and I am guessing very high.

A simple google search could enlighten someone to GA's history on this, if only the internet was available

There's nothing for the Georgia GOP to win by screwing up a primary election so I'll attribute this to stupidity rather than malice.
You aren't seeing clearly then.

Republicans, and right-wing authoritarians, want any and every election to have problems. If they win, then they don't care. If they lose, it's because of fraud and the deep state.

It's just the election version of the Firehose of Falsehood propaganda technique they use. Sow disinformation everywhere, lie and obfuscate even when not necessary, and in the chaos, take control.

This is NOT the time to attribute voting problems to anything other than planned malice towards the people.

The law as stated doesn't suppress anymore than laws in many other states. As to why they are doing it is pure speculation on your part to say it is purely to suppress voting.

It seems odd that anything that is done in the south is automatically marked as racist etc...
What is so odd? It is the South!! That has always been the way things are done! Please be a little more honest!

Felons on parole in California can't vote and CA is owned by Democrats.
As it should be! Parole is a condition of their sentencing!
In California, felons’ right to vote is restored — automatically — after a parole discharge, prison release, or completion of probation. Felons’ voting right is removed only if the convict currently serves time in prison or under realignment in county jail.

However, cases of a misdemeanor do not affect voting rights — they can participate in the polls.

That said, persons with felony convictions can regain their voting rights:
