That's why I just read an article about how Europe is declining on the road to irrelevancy because of too much wasteful spending and not enough innovation. It's sad, really.

yeah, prison should be hard, repetitive, dull labor. It's a freaking holiday camp for the scum of the country. We need to kick their asses, take their assets and give it to the victims.

We need a good war to send this fvcktards to the front line with crappy rifles and a couple of rounds. Only then will we see a change in people's behaviour.

We also need to start young. Little 13 year old bastards know they can get away with anything. How about this? Screw around when you're 13, fine, but you want a passport at age 16? hmm.. no, sorry, no holidays for you. Want a driving licence? hmm... no, sorry. Want to get a job? ooh, sorry, you signed yourself up for 12 months military service by misbehaving at the age of 13. Don't like it? Tough fvcking luck, we can double it if you like? This is what happens when you break into people's cars/steal/beat up other kids/misbehave at school.
Some real hard-ass action is what's needed.
Something like a clubbing licence too: since we're going to be getting the ID cards, make it compulsory for each person to scan in when you go into a club/pub or buy alcohol. Started a fight? Sorry pal, you're not going clubbing for 12 months. Sold booze to minors? you're SOL dude, no alcohol for you for 3 months....

and so on... people need to know they can't go around being thugs or antisocial. They need to be smacked down real hard, such that the thought of jail would strike genuine fear into them. At the moment, the scum are just laughing at the current 'policies'.

i agree

american folk here might not be aware of the UK's little thug culture.... gangs of kids 11-16 years of age literally run unchallenged around some UK towns

wanna know why?

the police do not do their jobs. its far easier to sit on a bridge with a radar gun and a motorbike cop.

and when/if they do get caught, they get a slap on the wrist and a ASBO (anti-social behavior order) which is the equivalent of saying you got away with it.

a number of people have been stabbed to death/shot by these gangs simply because they had the balls to do wat the police wont... stand up to them.

its not a problem in every town, infact theres more towns without it that there is with. but it is a growing problem.

the law is soft on major crime, and its even softer when the culprit isnt even old enough to vote/have sex/drink etc.

numerous oldies i have the pleasure of speaking to always say that national service should be broughback. 2 years in the army when you leave school, they say it straightens any one out. obviously id rather not be in the army, but im not a lout i wouldnt want to make it any harder for myself by trying to piss off a human wrecking ball of an officer.

we have a program that runs on tv here called bad lads army. 25-30 guys who are unruly louts who steal, break in to houses, cause GBH etc are subjected to a few weeks of 1950's style army training.

its hilarious... al these macho guys who supposedly dont give a crap about anyone else, who do what they like and act all fearless and intimidating are soon cut down to size. alot of them cry, wanna run home to mom, or chicken out because they dont like it when a demon of a drill sargent bears down on them.

most of you probably already know, i hate living in the UK

here's some more reasons why from todays papers

1. Britains most violent and dangerous criminals are getting paid to.....wait for it.... play scrabble, learn guitar, go to the gym, look after fish, play table tennis etc. they get given credits for every 30mins of activities they do and they can use these to buy fags, toiletries, snacks. now this doesnt sound bad, but also they can send the credits home to their families to cash in... ie turn into real money.

who pays for this? the Tax payer, ie me

I'm curious, what is the recidisivm rate of the criminals in your penal system?

i honestly dont understand what u just said

link

They even included numbers for the US and UK. If those numbers are right, at least it's working better than in the US.
