How much does more RAM really improve performance. I have 128 MB now and If I went upto 256 MB how much of a diference would it make.

If you are running Win9X, then I say 256MB won't do much...
However, if your OS is Win2K then, you will notice the difference.

It depends on how fast your computer is. If your ram is limiting you than yes it will make a pretty large difference. I would think that at the current price of ram adding 128mb couldn't hurt and would most likely help out quite a bit.

It would help to know, at a minimum, what OS you're using and what your primary applications are. In general however, you should upgrade to 256MB, especially while RAM is so cheap.

You will notice, but not significantly, there was a post about this a few months ago, try a search, but I find apps close down faster.
Probably 192 would be as much as you would really ever need but at the price RAM is right now 256 is the best way - make sure to get PC133 CAS 2 if possible - it's often the same price within a $ or two..

Assuming u r using Win 9x/ME
