Well, it's about AGP/FSB bandwidth, right ...?

Trying to figure out if my 215 fsb with 78 AGP will handle the card.

BTW, I only brought up the subject to correct hans030390 insinuation that it's something ATI would do to "impress people" when it's actually Nvidia that has been shown to be guilty of doing just that.

The above sentence should read:

"BTW, I only brought up the subject to correct hans030390's insinuation that it's something ATI would do to "impress people" when nVidia has also been shown to be guilty of doing just that."

The fact you're repainting the pot red as you point at the kettle doesn't change the color the pot was two years ago. Please make sure you're clear about following your own claim that:
I simply try to point out to new members (like yourself) that both ATI and Nvidia have their strengths/weaknesses.
Point out BOTH companies' strengths and weaknesses as you claim to be by including both in the blame, not shifting the blame. Else you just look no different from Rollo, only coming from the ATi-biased side of things.

Good point. I will try to look at my posts more closely to try and avoid that. In this case, I simply found it amusing that an Nvidia card owner would hint of ATI boosting 3DMark scores given what happened in the not-too-distant past. I think you'll agree that NV was clearly shown to be much more thoroughally implicated than ATI.

The bickering in this thread made my head hurt in it utter senselessness. 3dMark03 with det 4x.xx? I mean, who the hell cares about that? Obviously some people with nothing better to do...

NV still has the 3DMk3 cheats in the latest drivers on their current NV40 cards.

they arn't cheats, futuremark chose to include a feature owned by nVidia in 3Dmark05, which give nVidia card an advantage

Thank you for pointing that out. And anyways,

"I simply try to point out to new members (like yourself) that both ATI and Nvidia have their strengths/weaknesses."

Just because im new to this forums doesnt neccessarily means i dont know anything about ATi or Nvidia, thank you very much.

Plus, why are you bringing back the "cheating" incidents 2 or more years ago, that has no relevance nowdays? Reading back the threads, it was hans3030 who suggested something about ATi could be soing something to 3dmark05 to get 10k.

Now you "senior" member of the forums, replied back agressively as if your biased toward ATi.

"Actually, artifically boosting 3DMark scores is Nvidia's specialty, not ATI's. "

Isnt that just bias toward ATi?

If you think my reply to hans030390 was aggressive, then you need to look up the term in a dictionary. My reply was factual and impersonal.

As far as the content of my response (as I already mentioned to Xentropy) I simply found humor in the fact that he was suggesting that ATI would do this when Nvidia had done exactly that less than two years ago. The links and quotes I provided were facts, not biased guesswork or rumors. I don't see too many links from hans030390 backing up his suggestion that ATI would do such a thing.

In fact, you'll notice that ATI removed the driver enhancement immediately after it was called into question while Nvidia "maintains that what ExtremeTech uncovered are driver bugs, and nothing more." This makes hans030390 assertion all the more less likely.

The word "specialty" was thrown in there as a dig to those people who exclusively praise Nvidia and downplay anything ATI. You HAVE noticed the title of this thread you're posting in, right? And who the OP is? As well as his reference to a "Phantom Edition" card?

I think your concern over biased statements might be better spent on other forum members.

'Nuff said.
