Nice distraction and obsession.

Lets see,

1. 28% identify themselves as Republicans,
2. Looking at the US political map the GOP looks like a regional Southern party.
3. Mr Limbaugh avocates ideological purging of the GOP. Basically kicking out the "moderates".
4. I can not say that Mr Limbaugh is the leader of the GOP but the party is reverential* to him.

Perhaps you intended to type reverential?

Rush Limbaugh and people like him are the main reason people hate America. You could take the most traditional Atlanticist 'I  USA' European or Asian person, play them a few selected quotes, and then immediately sign them up for the next anti-American protest. You should take him off air purely for self preservation.

The answer is obvious, at least 19% of the American people are total wacko idiots, they were before and they still are despite real world evidence to the contrary.

The better question to ask, "Is the Rush Limbaugh constituency now growing"?

Old saw; you can fool some of the people all the time. Or is it; some people are fools all the time?:D

The left has it together, they have:

"Honest" Natzi Pelosi, Chris Dudd, Barney Frank, B Hussein Obama(and he has no idea what he's doing).

It is quite funny to hear the party who was unable to defeat W. not once, but twice, lecture the R's about the state of their party.

Not to mention the fact that the OP is the stupidest fucker on the Internet.

And another love story blooms on the internet.

And the answer is yes, from what I've found on the web:

Link 1
In New York City, WABC has experienced huge gains during Rush's noon- 3pm timeslot: from 4.6 to 6.7 overall

Link 2 (from Rush's website)
But the cume audience, which means total bodies, is up 32%.

They defeated Bush in 2000.

They did? That's funny, I don't seem to remember the Goracle being sworn in.

I said he won the election, not that the election wasn't then awarded to the wrong person.

No, he won the popular vote, but lost the election. From the New York Times: "A comprehensive review of the uncounted Florida ballots from last year's presidential election reveals that George W. Bush would have won even if the United States Supreme Court had allowed the statewide manual recount of the votes that the Florida Supreme Court had ordered to go forward.

Contrary to what many partisans of former Vice President Al Gore have charged, the United States Supreme Court did not award an election to Mr. Bush that otherwise would have been won by Mr. Gore. A close examination of the ballots found that Mr. Bush would have retained a slender margin over Mr. Gore if the Florida court's order to recount more than 43,000 ballots had not been reversed by the United States Supreme Court."

i like listening to Rush for the wierd sort of comedy that he provides.

i remember one show where he said, "you know, economics is common-sense.
and it's also counter-instinctive".

his caller said, "i know exactly what you mean".

that plus his frenzy of enunCiation, where every S gets stretched out and
hyper pronounced, like when he says "Democratssssss", is entertaining.

that he makes it on the air makes for some grand theatre.

but it's nice to have some Thom Hartmann on the radio to mix it up.

if you listen to Rush for anything other than entertainment value (questionable at that), you are an idiot, period.

People who use broad generalizations are generally idiots.

That sounds like one of the 78% of statistics that are made up.

Leadership to where though??

He can't seem to make up his mind on anything.

He is all over the map on terrorism.
He wants to spend more than any president in history, and then talks about how we have too much debt.

He's a total mess.

Phokus throws a small pebble at the repub hornet's nest that's already seething at the loss of their control over the masses and I thought to myself "OK, sounds like fun". But I was simply amazed at the ferocity of what seemed to be a highly agitated attacking swarm that came out to challenge him.

I guess Limbaugh is more of a raw nerve under the repub's skin than I'd thought he'd be.

Veerrrrry Inter-resting.

Fixed that, too.

He is all over the map on terrorism.

He's leaning towards 'anti'.

He wants to spend more than any president in history, and then talks about how we have too much debt.

Wouldn't make much sense for him to eliminate the deficit and say that, would it.

He's right - pointing out that he has to spend because of the crisis - and the harm the solution is causing as well.

He's a total mess.

Your post is. That comment is a bad joke. He's doing a hell of a lot right, and a huge improvement over Bush or McCain - even while I see some real problems, too.

You don't say FDR was 'a mess' or as bad as Stalin because FDR 'flip flopped' on getting us into WWII.

FDR *was* a mess. He admitted that his strategy to get out of the GD amounted to nothing more than just spitballing.

It seems Obama is taking a page out of the libs' hero's playbook: "throw a shit ton of money at it, seize control of business, and extort cooperation."

Yep.
