Lighten up, this always happens. Thats why they release new drivers .... to fix bugs created in previous drivers and improve performance slightly. And who's going to be using 3D glasses?

It's not a problem, they fixed it in the release notes:

"Individuals with SLI configurations who also use stereoscopic glasses should print the attached image, eyepatch.jpg, cut it out and place it over one eye."

Apparently someone uses 3D glasses as it's a feature they thought to include??? No need to "lighten up" as I couldn't care less, just thought it was a humorous aside as it just seems that these days nvidia can't get much working properly besides their single video card drivers.

Apparently, nvidia is "aware of the problem" Starting to sound familiar don't you think?

Maybe you should simply stop posting this crap.

If you are so smart and know exactly what to do why are you posting on the Anandtech forums. Clearly your expertise should have been hired at Nvidia a year ago. How are they even competing with out bar81??

Well we do not need you to tell us about every single problem that goes wrong with a company. We can read you know.

Like i said though, if you know so much about this sort of thing why are you telling us, the people who are in the exact same situation as you are

Also 3d Glasses drivers are hardly the top of Nvidia's priority list so dont make it appear to be such a big issue.

Okay, nice of you to just make things up, don't tell me you graduated from college "twice" like Rollo. I'm not making it a "big deal" I posted a link and stated that the drivers have problems, how "big" of a deal is determined by your level of discomfort with the truth.

As to why post as you "can read you know" then under your unsurpassed logic, why post any news item on the forums as everyone "can read you know" Give it up and again, stop being so defensive.

I only noted my bachelors degrees as credentials to prove I was qualified to help you with your vocabulary difficulties Bar81. I wouldn't expect you to PM an illiterate man for help with your reading comprehension?

Anyway, in regard to the original topic:

Who cares? I didn't even know they made those headache and nausea inducing torture devices anymore.
Anyone who has owned a pair likely knows what I'm talking about- the damn things cut refresh rate in half. So you have to set your resolution low enough to set your refresh rate high enough to compensate.

Why is this relevant? Well- who buys SLI to run at low res? It's actually slower.

Although I thought you couldn't find anything more irrelevant to post about Bar81, this may be a record even for you. Good job!

thanks for the compliments payroll, it means so much coming from a guy who's graduated from college "twice" no less.

Anyone else want to jump on the leaked driver bandwagon?

Okay, under your logic then the Widescreen SLI issue is NOT fixed yet as there's no "official" drivers that fix the issue. That's worse than the problem in the OP!?! The payroll's "logic" strikes again.

ROFL !!!!!

:D

I see the typical ATI bashers are out in full in this thread :frown:

Anytime you mention ANYTHING bad about SLI, Rollo comes to the save the day

Wow, this turned into a personal insult fest real fast.

Whats even better is that you'd take a small issue, such as this, and use it as a platform to start a flamewar.

Hold on, nVidia is knocking on my door. They want to hand me bags of money for defending them

Actually, I didn't "use" anything. As usual, I simply stated the truth and the payroll got defensive. And nice of you to just make up facts (another double college graduate I take it?) as the post you quoted is in reply to Rollo's insult, so I wouldn't be "starting" anything.

You weren't, but dealing with the payroll has taught me to accept such things :)

I'm starting to think Bar81 is going to buy an SLI rig just so he can start an avalanche of posts like:

Damn! SLI does not work in my P2-450! WTF!?!?

Damn! SLI does not work with Myst! Where is the supposed "compatibility"?!?!

Damn! SLI provides no benefit on my old interlaced 800X600 monitor! I paid good money for this- I expect it to work on my monitor!

FYI- Here's what's IMPORTANT Bar81:

X800XTPE owned at 3dmark

X800XT PE owned at UT2004

X800XT PE owned at Call of Duty

X800XT PE owned at Doom3

X800XT PE owned at Far Cry

X800XT PE owed at Sims2

X800XT PE owned at Battlefield VietNam

X800XT PE owned at HalfLife 2

X800XT PE owned at HalfLife 2

That is why people buy SLI Bar81- so they don't have to put up with slow, primitive graphics in games like you do? ;)

Okaaaaay. Rollo again just making things up because the checks do all the talking (as usual.) I'm starting to think a "third" college degree will be needed for you. Slow, primitive? Sure, Rollo, if that's what the checks tell you to say :)

Nope, the difference between you and I is that I've owned your slow, primitive graphics- you haven't used my fast, modern graphics.

So not only can I point at all the benchmarks- I've actually run them.

Puts me in a little better position to talk about it than you, I'm afraid.

The difference between using a X800XT PE and a 6800GT SLI is like night and day. The 6800GT SLI is just getting started at the settings your card chokes on.

I'm glad you're able to settle for that level of performance, but a lot of gamers want more.

You are right though- it's not for people with Apple monitors, goofy looking 3D glasses. ;)
