Watching bitter, elderly Republicans act like petulant children is fun too!

Just one thing--while you righties are busy spinning and spinning, can you go stand over where there might be some oil? Make yourselves useful for a change!

THANKS! :D;)

Watching you libs squirm is really fun!

What a pinhead !

I'm a life long Republican Moderate Conservative, who is disgusted by Nixon's 'Southern Strategy' where he got the Klan Mentality
of the South to abandon the Democratic Party and sign on with the GOP for their bribes & poweer trip.

Look at the GOP today - it's nothing like what Reagan brough to the table, it's a group of White Flight Reactionaries
that don't even have the guts to face up to their own created problems.

kissing ass to the Religious Right and 'One Issue' panic voters who are so damn insecure
that they think that the Mexicans are coming in to take their jobs.
Jobs that they themselves won't do because it's below their status in society.
Gays gonna get you too - better sleep in a chasity belt in case some queer sneaks in to tastefully decorate my home at night.
You can have my gun when you dissasociate it from my cold dead brain.
Gotta have us this here 'Rapture', gonna go to Heaven.

Lying, cheating, insecure cowards - I expect more from my party and I'm not willing to
just turn it over to the likes of Bush and his deception machine.

There is more to life than one sided issues - everything is NOT just Black or White.

Are you saying you enjoy another person's pain (assuming I felt any in the first place)? Are you some kind of sadist?

You are a turncoat. Always espousing the liberal view, but swearing to be a Republican. Conflicted?

I'm afraid I don't understand, and you haven't answered my questions.

Why would I or other "libs" be in pain, and why would you enjoy it if I were? I wouldn't enjoy your pain, if you felt some.

I guess I'm just at a loss to understand your sentiments as anything but childish - can you clarify?

Turncoat ?

Didn't you flee to Canada ?

I have never seen you take part in a legitimate discussion, only attacking those who post to stroke your self serving ego.

This thread is about GOP corruption in Ohio, and the fact is that the Governor HAS BEEN INDICTED.
There is also evidence that others in the GOP have in fact conspired to defraud the citizens of the state.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm having fun watching the Black Population of Dallas, along with a couple of Dallas City Council Members, who are either on release from
prison pending an appeal, under criminal investigaton, or awaiting sentencing for their Corruption Convictions threatening to play the
race card and saying to the Democrat Mayer Laura Miller, that they want to trigger a riot that will make the Watts Riots pale in comparison.
Read all about it

If some or even all of the GOP members are not as honest as we want (assuming anything you are reporting is true) it is because some have felt (I disagree) that they have had to stoop to the level of the Democrats.

I'm still hoping that we never stoop to disenfranchising voters and fixing ballots as the Democrats have done for over 50 years.

If true, and if it was illegal (there may be an amount below which it is legal) why would you jump on this yet defend President Clinton when he takes hundreds of thousands of dollars from the Chinese? Perhaps you didn't defend Clinton and are not being hypocritical.

Silly, moot, irrelevant argument.

Too late. They have been doing this already.

But, but, but Clinton....

It is illegal to accept ANY gift over $75 per Ohio law. He accepted THOUSANDS. Maybe math isn't your strongpoint?

Yes, yes, keep telling yourselves that the GOP is dying, corrupt, morally bankrupt, and whatever else makes you sleep well at night. We'll just keep winning elections and running the country.

I shouldn't do this, but how about some advice: why don't you Democrats concentrate on yourselves and determine why you are not in power? Ask yourselves why voters reject your candidates. Look inwards, not outwards at the GOP.

I guess I don't share your (apparent) view that this is a partisan issue. Are you implying that GOP politicians should be able to commit crimes with impunity? I certainly don't favor letting Democrats commit crimes. What does party have to do with government corruption? Your post smacks of misdirection IMO.

No, taft should resign and take delay with him. There is no reason to become a loser party like the Dems.

Yes, yes, just keep attacking the GOP. Apparently it's the only thing liberals are good at, but I will let you in on a secret: it won't win you any elections. It does make you feel self-righteous, so I guess it's good for something.

How about you have some original thoughts on something?

And Vito, this thread degenerated into an overall attack on the GOP. Do you honestly think that I think GOP politicians should get away with crimes? I don't think you are that dumb. You seem a lot smarter than that, so I will just assume your idiotic question was an attempt at humor. On that I say well done.

And there are crimes and there are crimes. This guy was not charged with bribery, which is a very serious deal. He was not charged with taking money as payoffs. He was charged, not indicted as the OP says, with not reporting the money. No one has alleged corruption except the rabid liberals in this thread.

Now, that being said, he should be kicked out of office and made an example of. Politicians SHOULD be above reproach and avoid even the APPEARANCE of impropriety, but then again, I'm an idealist. Some goes for that idiot representative from San Diego.

Taft pleaded No Contest.

Good enough. Would have nice though if he would have admitted his guilt and plead guilty.

I don't think he should resign.

He is a lousy governor. But sometimes the people should suffer whenever they elect candidates based on propaganda.

His approval rating was at 19% BEFORE this story even came to light. Wonder if anyone has ever had a 0 before?

Jimmy Carter probable came in at the lowest during the Iran Hostage Crisis.

Lilian Carter at that time had the biggest pair of boobs in America -

she had both Jimmy and Billy.

I can only see two posts that constitute categorical attacks on the GOP - I think you're tilting at windmills to the extent you're seeing this issue, or this thread, as a broad-based attack on the GOP. Essentially you were the one to turn this into an us-versus-them thread.

How would I know whether you think Republican politicians should get away with crimes? You hadn't posted anything here but your original broadside about how much wiser and cannier the GOP is than its rivals. If my question was idiotic, it was only posed because of the lack of relevant content in your own post.

To the extent you feel that politicians on both sides of the aisle should be prosecuted for graft and other offenses, I agree wholeheartedly. I tend to think the GOP has, in recent years, been the worse offender when it comes to handling such matters (one example was the House vote to allow Tom DeLay to remain as Speaker even if he is indicted), but that's largely a function of their greater numbers in elected office. Clearly both parties have a lot of room for improvement.

I like it. Republicans starting to turn on Republicans.

I didn't post it and seems that nobobdy else did either yesterday that former Republican Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott of Mississippi is calling Bill Frist a Traitor to him.

This isn't (or at least shouldn't be) a matter of Republicans turning on Republicans. I wouldn't hesitate to "turn on" a Democrat who committed crimes - by way of illustration, James Traficant was no friend of mine (though in all fairness he was a complete wacko and as disliked by Democrats as Republicans). Right is right, and wrong is wrong, regardless of party.
