Ha ok so I've asked like 1451451515 questions on here. Thanks for answering everyone.. you're about the best tech support you can find. Anyway, I got the tbred b 2100+ from newegg a couple weeks ago. I finally got my system to post, but now it freezes up on me, and sometimes (about once every 3 times) it doesn't even post. What is up with this? Am I the most unlucky guy ever? I've done this so many times before and I've never had problems like this. I even tried underclocking the 2100+ to 1500+ and it still locks up. Should I get an exchange on the processor or is it not a safe bet to say that the processor is the cause?

run memtest86
run prime95 torture test (when you get into windows)

if memtest86 fails, then u gots bad ram
if prime95 fails, then something is up with the cpu

what is the temperature at?
what pwer supply do you have?
(also, what are the +5,+12,+3.3 v readouts in bios, windows, and windows while running prime95....psu caould be crapping out causing lockup)

I have a 430W power supply. Its made by Powmax.. I dunno if they suck or not, or if that depends. The CPU usually gets between 40-46 degrees celsius. I'm using a stock AMD hs/fan and a half assed attempt at arctic silver 3 (just enough to say that there is something on there). I'll download and run that memory test you talked about.

When you run memtest86 or whatever, and it runs off of that disk at startup, how long am i supposed to wait for it to get done? It's displaying a bunch of random letters and numbers on the left side of the screen repeatedly, is that what its supposed to do?
