Just came back from OD and Compaq Presarios 5000 series were marked down specifically the 5003 and the 5002. Not really hot deals at my OD only marked down $50 but I know that some of you have gotten great deals on marked down computers at your local shops...so check em out.

Also much of the budget cd selections were marked down to $.12 yes 12 cents. Alot of crap obviously but I did get Myth II, some clip art disk and various other semi-useful stuff.

I also noticed ALL of the 2 way radios marked down. Didn't have my iPaq with me so I didn't take any notes on models.

Additionaly a bunch of the laser printers were marked down as well.

Hmm...this sounds like a Brag&Moan but it isn't. Just an FYI to head to your local OD for a new round of markdowns.

Forgot to add I saw the Palm IIIxe for $149.88 so you may find it cheaper in some stores. My OD is stingy on electronics markdowns. (Voodoo4 never went below $99.88)
 
Thanks Sinner....I have been avoiding OD since I got my last CC bill with all the Sony Clie I bought. Finally broke down and browsed around yesterday, didn't see much though. I may have to stop by today at another store and have a look around. Looks like they are not having near as much clearance lately. Or the employees are grabbing first.

BTW. There is a new OD being built down the street from me and it is about half the size of the rest of the stores. This could be why they are clearing so much out. Cleaning out the excess sku to make the stores smaller. Anyone confirm any other new stores and sizes?

the new stores are in fact being built smaller. the guys at corprate decided they didnt need to sell 75 different types of rubber bands, hence the huge clearance going on
