It just goes to illustrate what happens when a company grows big and arrogant. I'm really glad Nvidia has some real competition finally from ATI. They must be feeling the pressure - it is showing.

Nobody is complaining about how ATI is pushing online hardware review sites around. If they do, they deserve a big smack also (to their pocketbook).

It appears consumers rightly hate company arrogance. And Nvidia is growing big and arrogant. Unchecked, they would become like Untel (Go AMD!)

for awhile, it appeared that Nvidia would have no competition in the hi-end graphics market. Now they do. And it looks like ATI's Radion is making them plenty nervous (Go ATI).

I stand by my original statement - competition is good. Choice is wonderful. It tends to keep the big players in check.

Actually, when one purchases that monster of a card (w/c is really a Quad SLI setup), one is paying $150 per VSA-100 chip and its 32 MB.

V2 12MB boards were first selling for $299 when they first came out. Some people bought two for the SLI setup initially paying $600. I waited 'til later and bought my SLI for $250.

Looks like a deal for 6000 model. One's getting a Quad SLI.

It's a deal even for the ones that purchased the 5500 model (w/c is a Dual SLI). One is paying $150/VSA-100 chip/32 MB.

All this is for a 2D/3D combo setup board whereas the V2 was a 3D-only setup.
