Sorry about all these posts...not sure why I'm getting all these problems.

My problem now is that I can't get on the internet. The IC7 doesn't have onboard lan so I'm using a Linksys LNE100TX ver 4.1 ethernet card. Windows XP shows the card under Control Panel > Network Connections...Under Local Area Connection it says: Enabled Linksys LNE100TX Fast...

It shows it as working fine and it's status is: connected, speed: 100.0Mbps....yet I still can't get on the internet.

I'm thinking that perhaps this is a motherboard problem. On Device Manager under ?Other Devices, SM Bus Controller is listed. I enabled PCI using SM Bus or something to see if that would fix the problem. I think i need a driver for that but where do i get one?

Are there any other ways to troubleshoot?

BTW, i'm on a 2wire network, guess i'll reconfigure the whole thing if this doesn't work.

Oh and if on a 2wire should i click "connect directly to the internet" or "through a local area network"

thanks ;)

EDIT: not sure if this is related, but on device manager, the location of my gf4 ti4200 is "PCI bus 1, device 0, function 0." My card is in the AGP slot...is this correct? I haven't played any games so i don't know what kind of fps i'd be getting but that doesn't sound right.

it sounds to me as if it's more of a network configuration problem than a software issue. If you're showing that ethernet card with a 100mb/s connection, chances are all drivers are ok.

Check the IP address, gateway, subnet mask. what is the exact configuration of your network? Shouldn't even use the network wizard in the first place. If you still can't get on the internet, try to ping the machine's gateway. If you get a response, then that's great. Then try to ping a URL...if that fails, try it's IP. If that fails...check DNS.

Again, probably gonna need to see the network configuration for us to really help you.
