I have an MSI GeForce 5900Ultra, AMD 3000+, 2x256 PC2700 TwinMos Ram, ASUS A7N8X Deluxe and WinXP pro.

When i play any graphic intensive game or program e.g. Command and Conquer:Generals or 3dMarks 2001,
the program crashes and goes back to windows with no errors.
Correct me if i`m wrong but thats a video card overheating, yeah?

As a short term solution,i can underclock the card but any long term solutions.
There is nothing stopping air flow and the side panel is off the P.C.

I ran 3D!TurboExperience that came bundled to check the core temp but
either i cant use it or it useless as values come up expect clock and memory frequenices.
Is there any program i can download to check core temps

You can view the temperature in the driver menu. There is this tab called temperature. You should also download the 52.16 driver. They will be whql pretty soon, so the 52.16 beta should be ok for now.

Also make sure you unistall the previous drivers through the control panel; then run a program like Drivercleaner.

Then install the 52.16's

i know some1 who had similair problem... are the mobo chipset drivers installed? turns out that's what caused my friend's problem and he uses a FX5800.
